The 3-Dimensional Psychological Intervention Strategy (3-DPIS) theory by Chioma I. Igboegwu was originated from several years of psychological research investigations in prisons, shelters of victims of human trafficking and local communities of distressed women, children and youths. It helps to explain that the neglect of the psychological dimension of security and development in the public policy agenda constitutes a missing link and judgement/action gap in security and development strategies at the local community, state, national and international levels of governance.
The 3-DPIS Initiative, which has been launched by AAFID and the Federal Government of Nigeria, therefore aims to bridge the gaps in knowledge, policies and institutional capacities for the transformation, healing and empowerment of the various communities and institutions, in order to arrest the security, development and mental crises that have been produced by the neglect. The Initiative is aimed at pro-social engagement to win the battle of hearts and minds and to unleash the creative potentials of the people for the arrest of highlighted crises.
The Women Go On!, Campaign. The Women Go On! Campaign, strives to inspire the concept of womanhood that will lead this revolutionary campaign to rebuild families, communities, nations, regions and the entire world in the 21st century. It aims to sensitize and mobilize women for transformational change, healing and empowerment of their institutions and communities, in order to put an end to the violent conflicts, crimes, militancy, terrorism and consequent violence against women, which have inflicted various forms of psychological injuries/trauma on women, their children and communities in Nigeria, the entire Africa region and worldwide. The Women Go On! Campaign strives to inspire the concept of womanhood that will facilitate the transformational change, healing and empowerment of the various communities and institutions, world-wide. Women and children are most vulnerable to torture and indignity in times of conflicts and distress. Women are, therefore justified to lead the 3-DPIS Campaign.
